Become a Member

In order to hold membership in the MSV, you must be a doctor of medicine (M.D.) or doctor of osteopathy (D.O.) with an active Virginia medical license. Active members of MSV are voting members that may hold office in the MSV and serve on committees

Annual dues provide membership January - December (beginning January 1).

Physician assistants must hold an active PA license from the Virginia Board of Medicine. 

A resident physician member must be an intern, resident or fellow in an approved training program in Virginia. Once a resident physician joins the MSV, membership is active until the completion of their program.

A student member must attend one of the six medical schools in Virginia with an active MSV chapter (EVMS at ODU, LUCOM, VCU, UVA, VCOM, or VTC). 

A full-time student in a Virginia program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
